RAREFLON series back up rings are the ptfe coated back up rings. It combines the advantages of PTFE and NBR and could prevent the O-ring from being squeezed onto the low-pressure side under the action of pressure when the O-ring gap is large, in which the O-ring may be damaged and consequently lose its function if there is excessive pressure. To compare with the normal back up ring, RAREFLON back up ring has a broader area of applications.
