Hydrogenated Nitrile Rubber (HNBR)

HNBR is the Hydrogenated NBR to eliminate double strand partially.

Hydrogenated nitrile rubber (Hydrogenate Nitrile) is a kind of nitrile rubber that has been hydrogenated to remove part of the double chain.

Advantages:

– Better abrasion resistance than NBR
– Excellent corrosion resistance, tensile resistance, tear resistance and compression set
– Good resistance to ozone, sunlight and other atmospheric conditions

Disadvantages:

– Not recommended for use in alcohol, ester or aromatic solutions.

After hydrogenation, its temperature resistance and weather resistance are much higher than that of general nitrile rubber. Oil resistance of HNBR is similar to that of general nitrile rubber. The temperature range for product use is -45 ~ 150 °C.

Generally, it is applicable to the detergent for washing clothes or dishes. Widely used in air conditioning and refrigeration industry, as seals in the environment-friendly refrigerant R134a systems. Also broadly used as automotive engine system seals.
