Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM)

EPDM material is broadly applied in automotive, construction machinery, cable protection pipe and more.

Ethylene propylene rubber (ethylene propylene diene monomer) is copolymerized by ethylene and propylene, double chains with main chain not bonded. It has excellent resistance to polar solvents such as alcohols, ketones, ethylene glycol and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids.

Advantages:

– Good weather resistance and ozone resistance

Disadvantages:

– Poor oil resistance, not recommended for food-related use or exposure to aromatic hydrogen

EPDM has excellent heat resistance, aging resistance, ozone resistance and stability, and its normal use temperature range is -50 ~ 150 °C.

The product can be used in alcohol and ketone fluids. It has high temperature and steam resistance, good impermeability to gas. Suitable to use as seals in high temperature and steam environment, bathroom equipment seals or parts, rubber parts in the brake system and seals in the radiator (car water tank).
